Meet Our Team

Dr. Bhatti earned doctorate of veterinary medicine in 1994. He has been a veterinarian for over 20 years. He started his first practice in Hartford, Wisconsin, and after 6 years decided he and his family should move to sunny California to be closer to relatives. It is here in Sacramento that Doctor Bhatti established Discovery Animal Hospital.

Heidy has been working with Dr Bhatti for over 9 years. Her passion for animals extends into the rescue world and is how she ended up with 3 dogs of her own! From a tiny Pomeranian mix & Malinois to a 120lb Cane Corso pup named Benelli. She also has experience with working breeds and on her off time likes to practice bitework and obedience with her pups!

Laura is one of our newest assistants. She was just admitted into the UC Davis Veterinary School for the Class of 2029! She has 2 pets of her own: A Dutch shepherd mix named Milla & a Siamese cat named Sasha! 

Cody is one of our newer members at Discovery. Currently hoping to get into the vet program at UC Davis, Cody's passion for animals is apparent in how marvelous he treats his patients. Outside the clinic, he spends his free time baking for his co-workers and volunteering at Front Street Animal Shelter! 

Patrizia is a part of the senior staff at Discovery. She's been working with Dr Bhatti for over 3 years. Originally from Italy, she now resides in Sacramento with her husband and their furbaby Cali. On her off time Patrizia loves the outdoors and adventuring with Cali. Patrizia is polylingual assisting clients who need help in Spanish, French, Italian, and English. 

Summer joined the Discovery crew in the spring of 2024. She's currently going to school to become a Veterinary Technician. Outside of work, Summer loves sunset walks and going to Dutch Bros for pup cups with her fur babies! She has two fur babies, one literally named BABY and Ash, her kitty!
